Unconditional Love
The calendar says one thing but the weather is telling us another. It is snowing as I write this and while we are in the midst of transitioning into a new season I must admit that this winter, as long as it’s lasted has been an incredible season in my life. How can I put into words the love I feel in my heart for my children?
Many Godly and wise people have told me that no matter how much we love someone, it is nowhere near as much as our Heavenly Father loves us. How can that be? My mind cannot comprehend that kind of love but I rest in the comfort of knowing that it is true.
Just because my 3 and 1 year olds cannot comprehend in their little minds how much their mommy loves them doesn’t mean it isn’t true. My prayer for you today is that no matter what season you are in in your life, may you love someone so much that it hurts.
Blessings~

Praying for Others
In an interview I did for a news story a few years back, I asked a former Muslim who converted to Christianity about his faith journey and we got on the subject of prayer. He told me that he did not commit to praying for people who casually asked for prayer. I found it quite odd that he would decline to pray for anyone. His point, however, was not that he refused to pray for others but that when he received a request he didn’t take it lightly and he made it a priority to keep the request in mind and take that request to the Lord before the end of the day.
This brings me to my point and that is if someone asks us to pray for him or her and we say that we will, then please take the time to do it. I have been just as guilty as the next person has where, in the past, I would say that I would pray for someone only to think about it a week or more later and realize that I hadn’t. People do not take their needs lightly and we shouldn’t either. As brothers and sisters in Christ, it is not only a privilege but also a true gift to go to our Heavenly Father in prayer for someone else’s needs. Only God knows what the outcome will be but He reminds us that prayer is our way of communicating with Him.With that said, here is my prayer for you:
“Heavenly Father, I do not know who is reading this. I do not know their hearts nor do I know their needs. You have brought this person to this blog for some reason and I pray, Lord may you let them know of your never-ending love. You have been at their “hearts door” for a very long time waiting to be invited in. I ask that the Holy Spirit will fill their heart so they will know the true and amazing peace that can only come from You. May he or she be blessed more today than they could possibly have imagined and may they know of the power that can be found in You and the protection that You have to offer. I thank You, Father for the person reading this at this very moment.”
Be blessed, my brothers and sisters~

A Gentle Reminder
I have recently been reminded of a passage in Galatians that I thought I would share with you. “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6;9) It is a lesson in endurance. No matter where we’re at and what we’re doing, we hope the Lord is pleased in our work. However, it is all too easy to lose focus and become “weary”. We are reminded “…do not give up”. This is especially true in our work. Always keep in mind that we are not working for man. God is our ultimate “boss” and it will be before Him that we will stand on our last day to be judged of all that we have done and have not done in this life. Parenting is, by far, the most difficult yet rewarding work. Ken and I are learning much from our two little boys. We are also aware that they will not be little for long. Our prayer today is that wherever you are at in your parenting you keep your eyes focused on your Heavenly Father and that He will reward you and your children. Please pray the same for us!

Happy Birthday to my father-in-law. Our kids wanted to sing you a song! We LOVE YOU!!!!!!
He is Risen
As I write this I am reminded of a conversation I recently had with my three year old about the true meaning of Easter. He had heard on a song that Jesus died and was inquiring about the death of Christ as only a three year old can. I didn’t know how to respond but tried to gently explain that Jesus died for us but is very much alive. I explained that Jesus lives brilliantly in our hearts if we so choose. I even got out his children’s Bible to read to him the actual verse about the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior. I had no idea that Connor would not only grasp the concept of Jesus’ dying on the cross but would be so sincerely and innocently moved by this truth. He cried and cried trying to understand, in his words, ‘Jesus hurt?’ As I tried to explain this to a pre-schooler, I too cried. What an awesome God we serve but trying to understand and then explain what He did for us was almost too much for me. I thought I had a mature, adult understanding of the death of Christ but I was wrong. In trying to explain it I realized that there is much more I need to know and can only come to a better understanding if I allow my relationship with Him to grow.
My prayer for you this Easter weekend is that you will come to a deeper and more meaningful relationship with the One who suffered so much just so that you would come to know and love Him.
Peace and prayers~

This week’s story
It has been a little while since the name Terri Schiavo has graced the headlines and taken the top spot of newscasts around the nation. But her memory and her story are not forgotten. David Gibbs was the representing attorney for Terri’s family. He fought diligently to save Terri’s life and to put the rights of her and her family before the rights of her husband. David is a leading Christian attorney who is also at the forefront of many national debates. In our stories featuring David we will hear his personal testimony and why, as a Christian attorney, he needs our support and prayers as he battles many of the fundamental truths being twisted by our legal system on a daily basis in this country.
Thank you for watching. Keep in mind, we are always here to lift you in prayer whenever you are in need.
